24,977 people under 65 in Vermont have no health coverage — 5.1% of the under-65 population, among the lowest uninsured rates in the country. Of those, 12,685 earn inside the premium tax credit range — 51% of the state's uninsured.
6,064 uninsured Vermont residents (24% of the total) earn under $22,025. Vermont expanded Medicaid, so that group mostly qualifies for it instead — and it enrolls year-round.
Where Vermont residents enroll, and by when
Vermont does not use HealthCare.gov. It runs Vermont Health Connect at healthconnect.vermont.gov, and sets its own enrollment dates — which are not always the federal ones. Applying at HealthCare.gov will redirect you.
Vermont's 2027 dates are not settled. Vermont Health Connect currently shows two different 2027 end dates on its own website. Confirm with them directly before relying on either. We would rather say that than print a deadline we cannot source.
